Soil science and Agronomy comes under the department of agricultural sciences.
Mainly the soil science is an important branch of agriculture which deals with studies of different domains like soil physics, soil chemistry, soil fertility and plant nutrition, soil biology and biochemistry, soil survey, genesis and classification, soil mineralogy, soil conservation etc,. It is therefore, essential that these valuable natural resources is understood and conserved properly for sustained agricultural production.
Agronomy is also a branch of agricultural science which deals with principles and practices of soil, water and crop management.
