A Report on 118th birthday celebrations of Acharya N.G. Ranga
at College of Agricultural Engineering, Madakasira
As per the instructions of the Registrar, Administrative office, ANGRAU, Lam, Guntur-522034, 118th birth day celebrations of Acharya N.G.Ranga were celebrated at College of Agricultural Engineering (CAE), Madakasira, Anantapur (Dist.) on 07-110-2018. The programme was started with introductory speech of Dr.K.Ashok Kumar, NSS Programme officer and explained the importance of celebrating the birth day of Acharya N.G. Ranga every year on 7th November. Dr.B.Sarojini Devi, Associate Dean i/c, CAE, Madakasira along with Teaching and Non-teaching staff and students of CAE, Madaksira paid floral tributes to Acharya N.G.Ranga. Later, the Associate Dean i/c addressed students by explaining in detail about naming of Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University as Acharya N.G.Ranga Agricultural University and the glimpses of life history of Acharya N.G.Ranga as a freedom fighter, a renowned agricultural reformer, father of the Indian Peasant Movement, one of the founders of the International Federation of Agricultural Producers, a champion of public causes, founder of the College for politics which produced some of the most distinguished politicians, an eminent parliamentarian who held office for a record 60 years, entering the Guinness book of world records. The Associate Dean i/c also directed students to get inspiration from great personalities like Acharya N.G.Ranga to lead a disciplined and successful life. The teaching and Non-teaching staff and students of CAE, Madakasira participated in the celebrations.
A Report on National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas)
College of Agricultural Engineering, Madakasira
As per the instructions of Directorate of NSS, National Unity Day was celebrated at College of Agricultural Engineering, Madakasira on 31.10.2018. The programme was started with introductory speech of Dr.K.Ashok Kumar, NSS Programme officer. He explained that National Unity day also known as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ is celebrated every year on 31st October by all the people in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel. Dr.P.V.K.Jagannadha Rao, Associate Dean, CAE, Madakasira, explained in detail about the importance of National Unity Day, glimpses of life history of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the Iron man of India; his role in the integration of many Indian princely states to make a an Indian federation and his efforts to restore the peace all across the nation. He also advised students to get inspiration from great personalities like Sardar Vallabhai Patel to lead a disciplined and successful life. Later, a collaborative pledge was administered by all the Teaching, Non-teaching staff and students of the college. After the meeting, all the Teaching, Non-teaching and students of the college demonstrated National unity by forming a human chain holding each other’s hands.
